Details about Studio Stadium Youth Hub and the Music Production & Mentoring programme
This 6-month girls-only music mentoring and artist development programme, delivered by Stadium Studio Youth Hub CIC, supports young women aged 16–18 through creativity, confidence-building, and positive self-expression. The programme offers a safe, supportive studio environment where participants engage in songwriting, vocal development, music production, and performance, alongside regular 1-to-1 mentoring from experienced music professionals.
The sessions are designed to support young women who may face barriers such as low confidence, anxiety, or limited access to creative opportunities. Alongside developing musical skills, participants build self-esteem, resilience, communication skills, and a stronger sense of identity. The programme empowers young women to express themselves creatively and develop confidence that supports both their personal growth and future aspirations.
Delivery of the Project
Delivery of this project has so far been a great success. Five young ladies are participating and the initial sessions focussed on listening to music together, understanding their preferences and styles and discussing how music makes the girls feel. They then selected their instrumentals and beats for them to experiment with writing to. Two of the girls have already recorded two songs and we look forward to hearing of their progress as the project progresses further.
Midway through the project we are delighted to report that SM has been the most active participant and has already recorded 4 songs and is developing well both creatively and technically. She has demonstrated increased confidence in both producing and performing.
RC has also been very engaged and recorded 3 songs. She demonstrates a positive attitude and confidence that has grown over the weeks. She responds well to feedback and shows strong motivation.
KW has developed well and recorded 2 songs. She has shown clear improvement and confidence has increased throughout each session. Songwriting is developing nicely.
We are so delighted with the positive impact that this project is bringing to these girls.
