We are delighted to offer you the opportunity to apply for a grant for your school, charity, CIC or social enterprise. Through this grant, we aim to provide funding to enable you to introduce new projects or programmes for your students. Together we can make a difference!
The Park Charitable Trust supports initiatives that align with its mission to promote and advance education.
As part of our expansion, from January 2026, we are now extending or target areas to include the boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Waltham Forest, in addition to Redbridge, Newham, Barking & Dagenham and Havering. This means that we will be able to reach more girls from deprived backgrounds and extend the impact of our funding.
Grants between £2,500 and £5,000 are available for, but not limited to:
- Enhancing educational attainment through targeted interventions and support, providing specific equipment, testing, assessment resources
- Developing and providing educational resources (e.g laptops, books, curriculum materials, learning tools, sports kits, period poverty products).
- Capacity-building initiatives, educational resources to aid educational institutions, teachers, and students.
- Delivering extra-curricular and personal development programmes that foster academic and personal growth.
- Delivering educational programmes
- Mentoring or personal development programme
We will also consider grants below £2,500.
Criteria:
Who can apply:
- School or educational institution (all faiths)
- Registered charity.
- Community Interest Company (CIC).
- Social enterprise.
- Not-for-profit organisation.
Transfer of funds will only be made into a registered business bank accounts.
When reviewing applications, excluding schools or other larger educational institutions, priority will be given to smaller organisations, to ensure a greater impact. Organisations must have been established for a minimum of two years or have at least one full year’s financial statements for bigger organisations.
Recipients
- Children, primarily girls, under the age of 18
- Residing in the UK
- From disadvantaged backgrounds. Measured by:
- Percentage of pupils’ eligibility for free school meals
- Percentage of pupils categorised as pupil premium or pupil premium plus
- Percentage of pupils receiving universal credit, etc.
- Low Household income (Income below £25,000 or evidence of socio-economic challenges (referrals from schools or community organisations).
- Percentage categorised by the deprivation index
- Organisational or whole-school applications from deprived areas or serving disadvantaged communities.
Priority
When evaluating all applications, priority will be given to projects that the Trust can fund in its entirety (not proportionately funded elsewhere) and projects that are, in the main, for girls only. We do not exclude applications that may include boys as beneficiaries.
Exclusions:
Funding will not be considered for:
- Politically aligned organisations or institutions, or for applications to support fundraising, campaigning or any other activity associated with any political party.
- Profit-making establishments
- Individuals
- Retrospective funding, ie projects that have already been completed or in the progress before the grant application is submitted
- Applications for grants that exceed our thresholds
- Professional associations or training for professionals.
- Fundraising activities, ie gala dinners, charity auctions, etc
- Projects that do not align with our mission
- Initiatives that have a high level of uncertainty or that lack clear objectives or measurable outcomes.
- Projects outside of the normal activities/purpose of the organisation

Applications are assessed on:
- Alignment with our mission – projects to support (predominantly) girls from underprivileged and disadvantaged backgrounds
- Priority of need
- Potential impact on beneficiaries
- Feasibility and sustainability
- Cost-effectiveness and engagement
- Evidence of robust monitoring and evaluation procedures
- Agreement to allow the Trust to market the project
