Inner Spark

Details about the Charity

We are delighted to announce that we have become a new funding partner for Inner Spark.  www.innerspark.org.uk  Inner Spark was born in the heart of the Covid-19 pandemic, when young people were facing enormous challenges to their wellbeing, confidence and future.  The charity has now become a national movement and delivers free, transformative workshops in schools to help young people discover their inner strength and realise their full potential.

Details of the Project

We are proud to be supporting three workshops within schools in the Redbridge area.  We are hoping to reach out to schools with whom Park School for Girls had a previous relationship with and to reach approximately 900 pupils through these workshops.  Young people say that the workshops make them feel more confident, more positive about their future opportunities and plans.  We look forward to a strong and meaningful partnership with Inner Spark.  We are excited to announce that the inspiring speakers from Inner Spark will be delivering three engaging workshops to schools in Redbridge during the Autumn Term.

Delivery of the Project – Ursuline Academy School in Ilford

On Thursday 9th October Inner Spark delivered the first workshop at Ursuline Academy School in Ilford.  The inspirational Leah Chowdhry, who made history as the first British Asian woman to swim the English Channel presented her powerful and motivation speech to over 500 girls across Year 7 to 11 helping to promote mental wellbeing and resilience within the school community.

We are delighted to share some very encouraging outcomes

  • Confidence in the Future rose by 11%,
  • Believing in Themselves improved by 10.3% – clear signs of growing self-belief and optimism.
  • For purpose saw a small dip (0.6%), which is common immediately after reflective activities as students begin to process and define their direction.

On average, students rated the workshop 4.3 out of 5, describing it as motivating, positive and inspiring. Here are a few lovely quotes from your students:
