Details of the Project

Park Trust will be providing funding to deliver an in-school dance programme designed to build confidence, increase engagement with physical activity and provide a positive, culturally relevant experience for pupils.  It is aimed at girls who are currently less active; who need to build confidence and enjoyment of physical activity, and those who would benefit from developing key physical & personal skills, co-ordination, rhythm, teamwork, leadership and self-belief.  There is a clear need for targeted, inclusive physical activity opportunities, particularly for girls who are currently less active, do not attend extra-curricular clubs and for pupil premium pupils, many of whom are from Asian backgrounds.
