Mayesbrook Park School – Pupil Referral Unit
The Shannon Trust Reading programme
“Thanks to Park Charitable Trust we will now be able to provide our students with the opportunity to support their peers in developing their literacy skills, not only within the school but also in the wider community. These opportunities are vital to the progression of our students and ensure that their leadership and mentoring skills are developed before their transition to further education, or re-integration to a mainstream setting. Without the funding from Park Charitable Trust we would not be able to implement the project, and have such a significant impact.”
Mrs Katy-Anne Waite | Assistant Head Teacher/SENDCO (Mayesbrook & Seabrook Campuses)
This project specifically was funded by The Park Charitable Trust for Girls.
“Without your support we simply would not have been able to run this project. In the Park Trust we have been fortunate to work with a funder that is both exceptionally supportive and ambitious; their influence has run through this project. Thank you for all of your belief in and support for this project.”

Braids of Empowerment – delivery of a 6-week programme with no financial barriers for families in Barking & Dagenham
This funding has made a significant and lasting difference to our organisation by enabling us to delivery the programme at a standard & scale that would not have been possible without external support. It strengthened our capacity, expanded our reach and deepened our impact on girls and their families. All objectives were successfully met, including building confidence, self-esteem and cultural pride; providing early entrepreneurship and financial awareness skills; and providing equal access to resources and the removal of financial barriers

James Cambell School
The Brilliant Club
The grant enabled the organisation to provide a high-quality academic enrichment programme that would not otherwise have been accessible to these pupils. It allowed the school to offer meaningful experiences that broadened horizons, raised aspirations and supported personal development. The programme had a noticeable positive impact on the participating pupils. Staff observed increased confidence, improved classroom participation and greater enthusiasm towards learning and future opportunities. Pupils responded particularly positively to working with PhD tutors and visiting a university campus, experiences which helped make higher education feel more achievable and relatable. Several pupils who were initially hesitant to contribute in discussions became more engaged and confident over the course of the programme. Completing a university-style assignment gave pupils a strong sense of achievement and pride in their work.

Upcycle my Garment programme
We are so grateful to the Park Charitable Trust for giving us the opportunity of holding such an important sustainability workshop within Woodford County High School in November 2025. The session allowed the girls to gain new skills, rethink their attitude towards sustainability and perhaps inspire them to consider more of a creative path for their further studies and beyond. Without this funding, the school would not have been able to offer their pupils this valuable opportunity.

Inner Spark Workshops
Overall impact in three schools
Thank you for believing in these girls and for investing in their confidence, resilience and future potential. Your support this year has done more than fund workshops; it has generated long-term value for the young women you helped and for society as a whole.
Research shows that for every £1 invested in young people’s social and emotional development, society receives an average return of £11 through improved wellbeing, higher attainment, reduced future service costs and greater economic participation.
Based on the Park Charitable Trust’s investment, this work is projected to generate over £33,000 in social return, creating a long-lasting ripple effect far beyond the classroom.
Your investment is igniting futures and strengthening communities for years to come. We would be honoured to continue building this impact with you.
You can see more of this ongoing impact on our social media channels, where we regularly share highlights from workshops and student stories @innersparkuk.

Becontree Primary School Funding for a Netball Kit
Esther in 4LH
Thank you for the lovely netball kit. We have never had a kit before. They are really nice.
They make us look good and we feel proud to wear them when we go to events.
Junainah and Ellee in 5L
“We really appreciate you giving us the money to buy a netball kit for our school.
We think they are pretty and when we wear them to competitions everyone will know which school we are from as our logo is on the shirts.
We also like the velcro position labels as they are quick to swap over and we do not need to pull a bib over our heads.”
Five Elms Primary School
‘The Girls Assertiveness Club’
Our school is delighted to have received funding for our 12-week girls assertiveness club. Five Elms has been trying to start the club with co-delivery partners for over a year, but attempts unsuccessful due to lack of funding. Funding from Park Charitable Trust for Girls has allowed us to book a programme with BoxUpCrime and purchase a pottery wheel to use therapeutically so we can focus our club on physical empowerment, assertiveness, emotional resilience and creative identity. Through this funding the girls will have the opportunity to break male stereotypes and enjoy boxing, building confidence while using clay to explore body image and self awareness. The club will be a huge benefit to the school initiating a positive focus, building self-esteem and a wider school ethos focused on girl empowerment, creating strong minded, confidence and self-aware children.
