Meet our Trustees
Nayeer Afzal
Chair of Trustees
Nayeer has over 30 years of policy experience in the civil service including at many Whitehall departments such as HM Treasury and Department for Education. She is now Director of Learning Hive. She has worked extensively with many charities, and has served as a school governor.
Appointed as a Governor of Park School for Girls in January 2022, Nayeer also took on the role of Chair of the Parents Association, organising numerous fundraising events to enhance students’ experiences and raise vital funds for the school. Following the school’s closure in July 2023, she was instrumental in its transition to Park Charitable Trust for Girls, becoming Chair of Trustees in December 2025.
Drawing on her extensive experience in the civil service and her own company, which provides tuition centres and alternative learning provisions, Nayeer is passionate about making education more accessible and ensuring that all children, regardless of their background, have the best possible start. She has led Holiday Activities and Food Programmes across multiple London boroughs, including Redbridge, helping to create enriching opportunities for young people.
Mohammed Ahmed
Trustee
Mohammed Ahmed was appointed as a Parent Governor of Park School for Girls in January 2022 and has consistently demonstrated strong support for the School’s activities throughout this time. He played a key role throughout the period of closure and was keen to continue in his position as a Trustee when the school transitioned into Park Charitable Trust for Girls.
Mohammed offers a variety of strengths to the role, including a strong passion for the charity’s mission and values as well as a strategic mindset that helps guide the charity in the right direction. He is a valued member of the Board.
Nina Eastman Waite
Vice Chair of Trustees
Nina is an experienced educational leader with a background in secondary school leadership. She is founder of InkTree Education, an educational consultancy and tuition business. Nina’s work through InkTree involves supporting a wide range of students and their families, as well as providing educational services for schools, alternative provisions, local authorities and charity sector organisations.
Throughout her teaching career, Nina has worked in communities with high levels of economic disadvantage. She is passionate about inclusion, relational practice, and ensuring the highest curriculum standards for all children and young people. She is a specialist in teaching and learning, English and Literacy.
Nina joined the Park Charitable Trust for Girls as Trustee in June 2025. She offers expertise in her field, and a deep belief in the charity’s purpose.
We are currently in discussions with additional potential Trustees and are excited to build a strong team to steer our Trust towards success.
